Bristol City and Wigan Athletic are two professional football clubs in England. They currently play in the English Football League, with Bristol City in the Championship (second tier) and Wigan Athletic in League One (third tier).
Bristol City was founded in 1894 and has played at their home ground Ashton Gate since 1904. They have a strong rivalry with local rivals Bristol Rovers, and their all-time top scorer is John Atyeo with 351 goals. The club has never won a major trophy, but they have reached the League Cup final twice and the FA Cup semi-finals once.
Wigan Athletic was founded in 1932 and played at their home ground DW Stadium since 1999. The club's nickname is "the Latics," and their all-time top scorer is Andy Liddell with 70 goals. Wigan's greatest achievement was winning the FA Cup in 2013, beating Manchester City in the final. They have also won the League One title twice and were promoted to the Premier League for the first time in 2005.
